Cheryl Cole’s US ‘X Factor’ axe blamed on hotel biscuit binges – Tabloid Hell

Fox TV executive has claimed Girls Aloud singer didn't work hard enough to crack America

Cheryl Cole was axed from the judging panel of the US X Factor after spending too much time sat in her hotel room eating digestive biscuits, a tabloid ‘source’ has claimed.

The Girls Aloud singer was replaced on the panel by Nicole Scherzinger earlier this week, with reports suggesting that contestants were struggling to understand her accent.

Now a production executive at Fox, which makes the show, has told the Sunday Mirror that Cole didn’t spend enough time “putting herself out there” in America.

The ‘source’ commented: “Instead of attending the Grammy Awards and the Coachella music festival … she sat in her hotel room eating digestive biscuits.”

“She just seemed very down. There was too much negativity around her.”

Elsewhere, today’s (May 29) News Of The World has claimed that Cole‘s hopes of being re-appointed to the panel of the UK version of the show have been dashed.

Show supremo Simon Cowell (pictured right) yesterday (28) told The Sun that he felt “guilty” about sacking Cole from the US X Factor, but insisted his “hands were tied” by unimpressed Fox executives.
