Swedish DJ apparently believes pair could be 'new David Guetta and Kelly Rowland'

Kerry Katona is close to making a ‘musical’ comeback with Swedish chart-topper Basshunter, according to a red top.

The former Atomic Kitten member – who famously admitted she didn’t sing on any of the girl-band’s hits – will add her vocals to new track ‘You’re Not Alone’, reports the Sunday Mirror.

A ‘source’ told the newspaper that the pair are close to signing a deal to release the single, which they believe will be a “2011 version of David Guetta and Kelly Rowland‘s ‘When Love Takes Over’.”

The ‘mole’ added: “[Kerry‘s] determined to make things happen with a rejuvenated singing career. She knows she’s not the greatest singer in the world – but she’s determined.”

Since leaving Atomic Kitten in 2001, Katona has been the subject of numerous fly-on-the-wall TV documentaries had has faced tabloid allegations over her apparent drug use.

Basshunter – real name Jonas Erik Altberg – is due in court next month answer charges that he sexually assaulted two women in a Fife nightclub.

Altberg has denied the charges.
