Pint-sized pop star is also having paparazzi trouble

Justin Bieber has incurred the wrath of the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, after the diminutive pop star allegedly refused to meet some of the country’s children.

The Canadian pop star had been due to meet Netanyahu as part of his first tour to Israel, but according to US gossip site TMZ, Netanyahu cancelled the meeting after Bieber refused to meet with children who’d recently survived a rocket attack in Gaza.

Bieber’s spokesman Matthew Hiltzik denied that he didn’t want to meet the local kids, saying: “Justin welcomes the chance to meet with kids facing difficult circumstances, regardless of their background.”

The pint-sized megastar has already complained that he’s been having trouble with the paparazzi on his trip to Israel, angrily tweeting on “You would think paparazzi would have some respect in holy places. All I wanted was the chance to walk where Jesus did here in Israel.”

He added: “They should be ashamed of themselves. Take pictures of me eating, but not in a place of prayer.”

Bieber has said he will be spending the rest of his trip to Israel in his hotel room as a result.

He is due to tour Malaysia next week.
