The single features a tambourine solo from Prince Harry
Take That mainman Gary Barlow has teamed up with West End titan Andrew Lloyd to create the official single for the Queen’s Jubilee.
The track is titled ‘Sing’ and you can hear it by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.
‘Sing’ features 230 people and musicians from every Commonwealth state and even includes celebrated hip-hop fan and the Queen’s Prince Harry playing a tambourine solo. It is released as a single on May 28.
Asked what the Queen thought of the track, Barlow said: “She was most interested in the stories of the people we had on there, as it represents her Commonwealth, the thing she’s the most proud of. She was tapping along.”
Barlow has also curated the bill for the concert to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this summer. Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, JLS, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Annie Lennox, Alfie Boe, Jessie J, Shirley Bassey, Cliff Richard and Ed Sheeran are all on the bill for the event.
Tickets for the event have all been allocated. For more information about the concert, visit Jubileeconcert2012.co.uk/.
