'The X Factor' judge says he will travel the world for inspiration
Take That frontman Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber are to pen a new song for the Queen’s forthcoming Diamond Jubilee Concert.
The track will be performed at the star-studded event outside Buckingham Palace on June 4. To write the song Barlow, who is organising the gig, will travel the world to discover what the Queen means to the people of the Commonwealth.
This is probably the biggest challenge I’ve ever taken on musically, I’m so excited and thrilled to be a part of it.
He said he was hoping to find some “unique artist” from around the world, who could perform the track. The Jubilee concert has now attracted more than one million ticket applications, reports BBC News.
The gig, which will also include Jessie J, JLS and Shirley Bassey on its bill, will be broadcast live on the BBC as part of four days of celebrations for the Diamond Jubilee.
