In December last year, Kevin Parker revealed that he is currently working on Tame Impala’s next album. Commenting on its progress, he said: “The way I do it is there’s never recording ‘sessions.’ One finishes, the next one starts. It’s just continuous. I write songs everyday, but I don’t necessarily get to record them. I just record whenever I can, whenever I’m home, whenever I have access to something that can make music.”
Tame Impala will be in the UK for appearances at T In The Park and Latitude festivals as well as support slots on Arctic Monkeys huge outdoor gigs in Finsbury Park, London in May. In addition to those dates, the band will play in Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester as well as a previously announced show in Oxford in May. Starting at Manchester’s Royal Albert Hall on July 12, the ‘Lonerism’ band will then play in Birmingham before finishing the short run at Rock City in Nottingham on July 15.
Kendrick Lamar will release his new album in September, according to the head of his record label. Anthony Tiffith – CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment – revealed in an interview with Billboard that the US rapper’s follow up to 2012 album ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D City’ is due later this year.
