Taylor Swift’s fans aren’t happy that the man who groped her has a new radio job

Mississippi radio station 92.7 KIX has employed David Mueller, who now DJs under a pseudonym

Taylor Swift fans have reacted angrily to the news that the man who was found guilty of groping the star has found new work as a DJ at a US radio station.

David Mueller was accused of groping Swift at a concert in 2013 and was successfully sued by the star in August 2017. Mueller later said that Swift wasn’t a “hero” for testifying against him in court.

Mueller, who previously worked for 98.5 KYGO, has now found a new DJing position at the Mississippi radio station 92.7 KIX. As the New York Daily News reports, Mueller – who works under the pseudonym “Stonewall Jackson” (a reference to the Confederate general) – currently co-hosts the morning show “Jackson & Jonbob”.

The paper also reports that Larry Fuss, Mueller’s employer at Delta Radio, says he believes Mueller is innocent, remarking: “He’s either the world’s best liar, or he’s telling the truth.”

Fans of Swift have been quick to register their disdain at the news, with Billboard reporting that some had petitioned Delta Radio in an effort to have Mueller fired.

Yesterday (January 30), Swift was confirmed as a headliner at the BBC’s ‘The Biggest Weekend’ festival – which is aiming to be a replacement this year for Glastonbury.
