Tegan and Sara have debuted another new song from their forthcoming album Love You To Death.
Titled ‘Stop Desire’, the midtempo electro-pop track premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show earlier this evening (May 16). It’s the fourth song the Canadian duo – sisters Tegan and Sara Quin – have shared from the album following ‘Boyfriend’, ‘U-turn’ and ‘100x’.
They have also released videos for ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘100x’, the latter of which features a variety of sad but adorable dogs.
When the duo premiered ‘Boyfriend’ on Beats 1 last month (April), Sara Quin told the show’s host, NME writer Matt Wilkinson, that the track is a “pretty straightforward pop song” with a “gender twist”.
Tegan and Sara’s forthcoming eighth album, ‘Love You To Death’ will drop on June 3. Their last album, 2013’s ‘Heartthrob’, became the duo’s most successful yet, peaking at Number Three in the US. Both albums feature production from Greg Kurstin, who has also worked with Adele, Lily Allen and Kylie Minogue.
The duo are due in the UK next month for a pair of show’s at London’s KOKO on June 22 and June 23. They will then play summer dates in Asia and Australia before touring North America through the autumn.
