Watch The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Cage the Elephant’s Matt Shultz join Prophets of Rage onstage

The pair joined the supergroup to perform a cover of MC5's 'Kick Out The Jams'

The Black Keys‘ Dan Auerbach and Cage the Elephant’s Matt Shultz joined supergroup Prophets of Rage on stage in Nashville last night (September 28).

The pair are the latest musicians to join the supergroup on stage during their North American tour, after Dave Grohl played with Prophets of Rage – who comprise of members of Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill and Public Enemy – during their Toronto and Los Angeles dates last month.

Much like Grohl, Auerbach and Shultz came on stage with Prophets of Rage to perform the group’s now-regular cover of MC5‘s 1969 single ‘Kick Out The Jams’, which was also the title of their debut album. Auerbach joined Morello on guitar duties, while Shultz delivered vocals.
