Black Velvets to get Liverpool music honour

The band are set to play prestigious Cavern show…

The Black Velvets are set to receive one of LIVERPOOL’s top musical honours.

The band are playing a gig at The Beatles’ famous venue The Cavern on September 12 to mark the release of their self-tiled debut album on the same day.

However as well as playing the show, the venue has a wall of fame which selected bands who play The Cavern are asked to sign, and [a][/a] will be immortalised alongside their home city’s musical heroes with their own brick.

Meanwhile the band who release single ’Once In A While’ on September 5, appear on the Radio1/ NME stage at this weekend’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals, playing the southern leg on August 26 and the northern site a day later.

There are still a very limited number of day tickets available for this weekend’s event.
