Band have 14 tracks ready to go

The Breeders have revealed all about their new album, the follow up to 2002’s ‘Title TK’.

The group have been working on the album with Nirvana producer Steve Albini, reports VenusZine.

“The new Breeders record is scheduled to be released in April 2008,” declared frontwoman Kim Deal. “There are 13 songs. Mando Lopez is still on bass,Jose Medeles on drums, Kelley Deal, my evil twin, on guitar and vocals, and I’m playing guitar and vocals. The songs are just songs. But for instance, one song Kelley and I did live. She played stand-up bass and I played acoustic guitar while we sang.”

On song has Mando playing a lead guitar which Albini then backward masked. One song has three, count ’em, three basses on it.”

The band are set to make their live comeback tonight (December 4) at The Second City That Never Sleeps: Letters To Santa’ bash in Chicago.

The album is expected in April 2008.
