The Elastica of US indie prepare to release their first LP in nine years...
Breeders are set to release their long awaited third album, the follow-up to 1993’s hit ‘LAST SPLASH’, in February 2001.
A posting on their website www.noaloha.com also reveals a full-scale US tour to support the album will begin in Albuquerque on January 28. No further details of the Steve Albini-produced record, such as precise release date or title, have been announced.
The band, who scored a worldwide hit in 1993 with ‘Cannonball’ are built around the core of sisters Kim (ex-Pixies bassist) and Kelley Deal. Their only confirmed dates in the UK so far will see them play the All Tomorrow’s Parties festivals over the last two weekends in April at the Camber Sands holiday resort on the English south coast.
