THE CARDIGANS release their new album next month, following up the phenomenal success of last year's single 'Love Fool'...

THE CARDIGANS have announced details of their new album, ‘Gran Turismo’, released on October 19 through Stockholm Records.

The album was recorded in Sweden with producer Tore Johansson, who also produced the band’s earlier albums ‘Life’ and ‘First Band On The Moon’. The album’s tracklisting is: ‘Paralyzed’, ‘Erase/Rewind’, ‘Explode’, ‘Starter’, ‘Hanging Around’, ‘Higher’, ‘Marvel Hill’, ‘My Favourite Game’, ‘Do You Believe’, ‘Junk Of The Hearts’ and ‘Nil’.

No details of a UK tour have been finalised, though sources believe The Cardigans may play some one-off shows prior to a major tour next year.

Meanwhile, the band’s debut single from the new album, ‘My Favourite Game’, is to be directed by fellow Swede – and ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ director – Jonas Akerlund.
