Pope Joan and Ikonika also join this year's line-up

The Charlatans, Four Tet, Diana Vickers and Razorlight‘s Johnny Borrell are set to kick off this year’s London Oxjam gigs next week.

The acts will play in the Oxfam shop on Kingsland Road in Dalston among the books and clothing on the store floor itself to launch the charity’s month-long music festival.

Speaking about the gigs, The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess, whose band will see former Verve drummer Pete Salisbury make his debut on Monday (September 27) after Jon Brookes suffered a brain tumour, said: “In 20 years of doing gigs, we’ve never played in a shop before, so it’ll be interesting to do some shopping after soundcheck. Because it’s in such a small venue, it’s also going to be a really special, intimate show for the fans.”

The full line-up is:

The Charlatans (plus Tom Furse), dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip (September 27)
Diana Vickers, Gabriella Cilmi, Pearl & The Puppets (28)
Johnny Borrell, Little Comets, Pope Joan (29)
Four Tet, Ikonika (30)

Oxjam takes place throughout October, with Oxfam shows across the country launching music-related events to raise money to fight poverty.

October 23-24 is being dubbed the Oxjam Takeover weekend, as it features 31 mini-festivals taking place across the UK.

Faithless will be playing an Oxjam gig at London‘s Coronet on October 1.
