Tim Burgess and co to run through debut in full this May

The Charlatans are to play their 1990 debut album ‘Some Friendly’ in full at a London gig this May.

The gig, which takes place on May 31 at The Roundhouse venue, is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album, which includes the tracks ‘Then’, ‘Sproston Green’ and the Top Ten single ‘The Only One I Know’ (which did not feature on the original vinyl version).

A reissued version of the album is expected to be released around the gig.

The Charlatans are currently recording a new studio album with producer Youth, with the record due for release in June.
