THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS have recorded a brand new track for the soundtrack to the new ‘TOMB RAIDER’ movie, starring ANGELINA JOLIE.

‘Galaxy Bounce’ features on the soundtrack, alongside other new tracks by Basement Jaxx and OutKast. It is released through East West on July 9 and the film itself hits British cinemas on July 6.

The live action version of the video game stars Angelina Jolie as the archaeologist adventurer Lara Croft.

The Chemical Brothers played ‘Galaxy Bounce’ in their DJ set at the Coachella Festival in the USA, along with another new track tentatively titled ‘It Began in Africa’. They are currently in a London studio recording their next album, but new material has been given to DJs to test out at clubs.

Meanwhile, U2‘s new video for ‘Elevation’ features the band on the set of ‘Tomb Raider’. In the video an evil Bono kidnaps fellow band member The Edge – who is then saved by Lara Croft.
