Enigmatic singer pulls out of number of festivals, including Glastonbury

The Child of Lov has cancelled all of his scheduled live dates, including a performance at Glastonbury.

The mysterious singer, who only recently revealed his face for the first time, was scheduled to perform at festivals including Glastonbury, Benicassim and Bestival.

Speaking to NME about the reasons behind his decision, he says: “If there’s one thing I know, it is that I have to be able to express myself in what I do musically. I will not go as far as saying that performing live is worth less artistically than producing and composing a record, but on a creative level, they are two entirely different things.”

Continuing in a piece you can read in full in this week’s NME on newsstands now, The Child Of Lov adds: “Even though I do feel pressure to do a tour that involves some great festivals lately, I’ve come to realise that playing gigs cannot occupy a rewarding role if it is not exactly as I envisioned it, exactly as I want it, and exactly the way I know the audience deserves it. “
