Band line up three dates to preview their fifth studio album

The Cribs have announced a short UK tour for early next year.

The Wakefield trio, who are currently recording their fifth studio album, will play shows in London, Edinburgh and Leeds in the early part of 2012.

The tour begins on February 28 at London’s ULU, then moves on to Edinburgh Liquid Rooms on March 1 and finishes up with a show at Leeds Metropolitan University on March 3.

The Cribs are likely to release the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Ignore The Ignorant’ in early summer. Their fifth LP has been produced by Queen/David Bowie producer David Richards and The Flaming Lips‘ man Dave Fridmann. It is the band’s first album since former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr left the band earlier this year.

The Cribs will play:

London ULU (February 28)
Edinburgh Liquid Rooms (March 1)
Leeds Metropolitan University (3)

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday (December 13) at 9am (GMT). To check the availability of The Cribs tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
