Ballet will premiere at London's Royal Opera House next month
The score, on which Ronson has collaborated with Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt, will soundtrack a ballet entitled ‘Carbon Life’. The ballet will premiere next month (April 5) at the Royal Opera House and will run as part of a triple bill that will have six performances in total.
‘Carbon Life’ will be set to a cycle of nine love songs which will be sung by Pierce, Mosshart, Boy George, Hero Fisher and rappers Wale and Black Cobain. Rufus Wainwright has orchestrated the music.
According to the Royal Ballet, the Ronson and Wyatt’s songs will “focus on the Jungian theme of anima/animus and the theory of collective masculine and feminine unconscious”.
