The Futureheads are set to play their final gig of 2009 tomorrow (December 19) and will use the show to preview a host of new songs.
The band will make a live appearance at the Batteries Not Included club night which takes place at The Quad venue in London from 10pm (GMT).
“This is going to be the last Futureheads gig of the year and it’s all the more exciting because we’ll be playing a ton of tunes from our new record,” the band’s Ross Millard told NME.COM. “We don’t have a title for it yet – but we’ve got most of it written, including a tune called ‘The Chaos’ that’s one of my favourite things we’ve ever done. We’ll be playing some stuff we haven’t played in a long time too. This means lots of ‘News And Tributes’ (their second album from 2006) – we haven’t done any of that stuff in a long time.”
The band’s new fourth album is due out next year. It will be the follow-up to 2007’s ‘This Is Not The World’.
The night will also feature a host of DJs and bands including Ja Ja Wunderbar and Danny Valentine And The Meditations playing live.
