The Futureheads kick off secret tour

The band preview new material

The Futureheads kicked off their secret mini-tour of the UK last night(February 28) and previewed a host of new songs.

The band, who announced a string of low-key live dates last week through their website, played at Oxford’s Zodiac and treated fans to a taste of what to expect from their upcoming second album ‘News And Tributes’.

Alongside firm live favourites from their debut self-titled LP, such as ‘Decent Days And Nights’, ‘Meantime’, ‘Carnival Kids’ and their cover of Kate Bush’s ‘Hounds Of Love’, the group also debuted new tracks including ‘Cope’, ‘Worry About It Later’, ‘Berserker’, ‘Skip To The End’ and ‘Fallout’.

‘News And Tributes’ is due for release in May and was recorded with producer Ben Hillier (Blur, Elbow) in just five-and-a-half weeks in the Yorkshire countryside.
