The band's fifth album is released on August 11
The Gaslight Anthem have unveiled the video for the title track of their upcoming fifth album, ‘Get Hurt’.
The video features a modern dance theme, with dancers appearing alongside the band, who are playing in a lavish barroom. Click below to watch the video. The band have promised a “completely different vibe” on their new LP, which is released on August 11. Speaking to NME in this week’s issue, available on newsstands or digitally now, frontman Brian Fallon said: “You get a realisation at some point in your career that whatever it is you do, you can no longer continue to do it. You just realise you can’t put out the same records forever.”
Key to this change was The 1975 and their debut album. The band tracked down producer Mike Crossey in an effort to see if they could tap into something similar to the British group. “We were like, ‘well that sounds different – what would happen if a band like us works with a guy who makes records sound like that?'” says Fallon.
The release of ‘Get Hurt’ will be supported by a five-date UK tour in November, which will see the band playing their biggest ever UK headline shows, including a date at London’s Alexandra Palace on November 19, and gigs in Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
