Festival season 2018 gets even bigger as The Governors Ball announce huge line-up

Jack White is back, with fellow Detroit son Eminem

Festival season for this summer continues to grow more exciting as The Governors Ball have announced their huge line-up for 2018.

After Coachella 2018 revealed their bill earlier today, fellow US festival giant The Governors Ball have followed suit with some big names and comebacks confirmed for the New York event this June.

Eminem will be following his Coachella headline set by topping the bill at The Governors Ball, alongside the return of fellow Detroit son Jack White.

At the end of last year, White teased his return with a bizarre trailer for new music. The former White Stripes frontman last released a solo record in 2014 with ‘Lazaretto‘. He recently revealed that he had been working on his follow-up LP this summer, joking that it would be “good gardening music or roofing music or, you know, back-alley stabbing music”.

The bill also boasts more comeback shows for Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Chvrches, alonside the likes of Travis Scott, N.E.R.D., Khalid, Wolf Alice, Slaves, Post Malone, and The Gaslight Anthem performing their acclaimed album ‘The ’59 Sound’ in full.

There is also a special guest to be announced, rooted quite high up on the bill but blanked out on the poster.
