Kurt Cobain’s favourites The Jesus Lizard announce one-off London gig

All four original members set to play comeback show

The Jesus Lizard have announced a new London gig this May.

The legendary Chicago band – who were one of Kurt Cobain‘s favourites – have reunited this year after splitting in 1999.

As well as a previously announced appearance at this year’s ATP on May 8-10, the band will now also play the London Forum on May 11.

The original line-up of David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims and Mac McNeilly will play the gigs, which form part of what the band’s label Touch And Go is calling a “fleeting reunion”.

In 1993, The Jesus Lizard released a split single with Nirvana (‘Puss/Oh, The Guilt’), which reached Number 12 in the UK singles chart. The two acts also toured together regularly.
