Killers and Jimi Hendrix to be graffiti’d at Royal Albert Hall

The venue's past is to be celebrated in a bizarre way

Graffiti artists are to paint images of iconic musicians including Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton on the inside of the Royal Albert Hall this summer.

The Load exhibition will see an underground floor of the venue covered in iconic murals of famous artists who have played there, including Frank Sinatra and The Killers.

Members of the public are to be given access to the area for one day only – June 22 – reports BBC News. After that the only people who will see the graffiti works will be musicians making their way to the venue’s stage.
