The Killers team up with U2

Brandon Flowers performs 'In A Little While' with Bono

U2 were joined onstage by The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers for a special performance of ‘In A Little While’ in Las Vegas at the weekend.

The singer, who has listed the track as his all time favourite song by the Dublin four-piece on several occasions, made a surprise appearance to perform a duet of the song with Bono at the MGM Grand.

Earlier in the show, Bono hinted at the unannounced collaboration during ‘A Beautiful Day’ when he sang the lyrics, ‘I’ve Got Soul But I’m Not A Soldier’ from The Killers hit single ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’.

The last time Brandon saw U2 in his hometown five years ago, he was an avid fan watching from the audience.

His duet with Bono for the Joey Ramone dedicated track was the highlight of an eventful night which also saw Mary J. Blige step up for a powerful rendition of ‘One’ with the U2 singer for her third appearance on the world tour.

The band also brought their tour manager Dennis Sheehan on stage at one point, to mark his birthday with a performance of recent hit single ‘All Because Of You’.

Sheehan has been with the band for 23 years.

U2 release a live DVD featuring footage from their May Chicago shows, on November 14.
