Band play 'Is This It' in Brooklyn

The Killers covered ‘Is This It’ by The Strokes at their show at Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center on Saturday (May 18) – scroll down to watch.

The band’s cover version lasted just one minute and featured only Brandon Flowers’ vocal and Dave Keuning’s guitar. The Killers often cover tracks by favourite local artists when they perform. On their last UK and Ireland tour they played Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, U2’s ‘With Or Without You’ and New Order’s ‘Crystal’.

Meanwhile, The Gaslight Anthem and James are set to support The Killers at their first ever standalone stadium show, which takes place on June 22 at Wembley Stadium in London.

Speaking about the show, drummer Ronnie Vannucci previously told NME: “It sort of feels like the full-circle moment in a way. We started out here in the UK so to come back and play Wembley, I don’t know what I can say about it. Every couple of months there’s something along those lines that sort of blows me out of the water. Obviously, this is the cream of the crop of dreams coming true.” The Killers will be playing a host of festivals this summer, including headline slots at the Isle Of Wight Festival, T In The Park, Spain’s Benicassim and Lollapalooza in Chicago.
