Additional gig confirmed following popular demand
The Knife have added a second London date to their forthcoming European tour after the first one sold out almost immediately.
Earlier this week the Swedish electro duo confirmed their appearance at The Roundhouse venue in London’s Camden on May 8. Tickets for the first date went on sale at 10am this morning (January 18) and sold out straight away. Due to this popular demand there will now be a second date on May 9. Tickets are available now.
The Swedish duo, Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer, will appear live in London as they promote their brand new album, ‘Shaking The Habitual’, which is released on April 8. They will also play shows in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden during the tour.
‘Shaking The Habitual’ is The Knife’s first album since 2006’s ‘Silent Shout’ and will feature a guest appearance from Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum. Since the release of ‘Silent Shout’, singer Karin Dreijer Andersson released one self-titled album as Fever Ray, in 2009.
In 2010 she and bandmate Olof Dreijer collaborated with Mt Sims and Planningtorock on the Charles Darwin-inspired opera ‘Tomorrow, In A Year’.
