Brighton four-piece say they owe their success to them
Singer Luke Pritchard praised the Sheffield four-piece for helping make their debut ‘Inside In/Inside Out’ one of the most successful albums of this year.
Speaking to NME.COM, he said: “God bless the Arctic Monkeys because if it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have been so shielded. We were so overshadowed by the success it (their album) because it was so monster and we crept in behind everybody’s back. Arctic Monkeys shielded us from having too much attention.”
Guitarist Hugh Harris also said he was amazed at how successful ‘Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not’ after becoming the fastest selling album ever.
He added: “How can not be impressed by that? It’s amazing. It’s incredible what they’ve done.”
