Reunited band will now perform on June 28 too

The Libertines have announced a second show at Glasgow’s Barrowlands to warm up for their Hyde Park comeback gig.

The new date – June 28 – takes place the day before the previously announced show, meaning it will be the band’s first show since reuniting. Tickets for the new Barrowlands show go on sale at 9am on Friday (June 20). Tickets will be limited to two per person and require photo ID.

The band have so far announced two European festivals and a five-date European tour on top of the UK shows. Speaking to NME recently about The Libertines‘ forthcoming London show, co-frontman Pete Doherty said he was thinking about finishing off some of the band’s older material for the occasion. “We were talking about doing some new songs,” he explained. “Or even better, finishing some old songs that we always knew should have been on ‘Up The Bracket’ if we could have been arsed. I could hum them and Carl would know about them.”
