Maccabees and Drums bond over graphic design on Shockwaves NME Awards Tour

Jacob Graham reveals what's really going on backstage

The Drums‘ guitarist Jacob Graham has said that his band have been hanging out with The Maccabees on the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour 2010, and revealed he has bonded with frontman Orlando Weeks over their mutual love of graphic design.

The tour, which tonight (February 10) calls at the Norwich UEA, sees the two bands joined by The Big Pink and Bombay Bicycle Club.

“We’ve been hanging out with The Maccabees, and that’s been pretty cool,” Graham explained. “Orlando does a lot of graphic design and I do most of the design for The Drums‘ artwork – and also for my label Holiday Records – so it’s actually been really nice to hang out with him and chat about that stuff a little bit.”
