Mighty Boosh win Best DVD prize at Shockwaves NME Awards

'Future Sailors' voted winner ahead of Killers, Kings Of Leon efforts

The Mighty Boosh have won the Best DVD award at the Shockwaves NME Awards tonight (February 24) for their tour document Future Sailors.

The award was presented at the O2 Academy Brixton in London tonight (February 24) by host Jarvis Cocker.

Future Sailors documented the comedy troupe’s 2008/2009 tour.

Noel Fielding joked as he picked up the award: “I thought Nirvana were going to win. Big hand for Jarvis.”

The Boosh also dedicated their prize to Jonny Sedassy, a London gig promoter who died earlier this year.

The other nominees in the Best DVD category were:

Kings Of Leon – Live At The The O2 Arena
Flight Of The Conchords – Complete HBO Second Season
The Killers – Live From The Royal Albert Hall
Nirvana – Live At Reading
