Noel Fielding: ‘I want Robert Smith to play my uncle in ‘The Mighty Boosh’ film’

The star reveals plans at Shockwaves NME Awards

Noel Fielding has told NME.COM he wants to get The Cure‘s Robert Smith to feature in the forthcoming ‘Mighty Boosh’ film.

The comic was speaking in an exclusive video interview – available to watch below – after winning the award for Best TV Show at the ceremony.

After arguing with fellow Boosh stars Naboo (Michael Fielding) and Bollo (Dave Brown) over who should keep the middle-finger statuette, Fielding revealed that he had big plans for Smith.

“We’re trying to get hold of Robert Smith for the film – I want him to be my uncle,” he said. “That would be great!”
