The Muppets to play first ever European shows in London

It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights...

The Muppets have announced that their first ever European shows will take place in London later this year.

The iconic Jim Henson troupe will play The O2 Arena on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 July – bringing a unique combination of  musical performances, sketches, and celebrity guests to London.

The shows mark the first time that the puppet group, led by Kermit The Frog, have performed their live shows outside of the US. You can buy tickets here from 9AM on Wednesday, February 28.

“We’re thrilled to bring this first time ever live performance to all our fans in the UK,” said Kermit.

“There’ll be music, comedy, incredible surprises, plus total and complete chaos. In other words: It’s the Muppets! Yaaaay!”

Miss Piggy added: ““I can’t wait to be there to entertain, astonish, dazzle and otherwise gobsmack all moi’s fabulous fans! Wear socks, sweetie, cause I’m gonna knock ‘em off. I will amaze everyone with this first-ever live performance….and, of course, for the official renaming of ‘The MOI 2’ arena.”

Other treats in store including full musical backing from The Muppets’ legendary house band Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, featuring Animal on drums.

They’ll also stage a takeover of The o2 across the entire weekend, including Muppet movies, street food, live music, and best costume competitions.
