The National premiered a host of songs from their forthcoming new album ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ last night (April 5) in Berlin.

Speaking in this week’s NME which is on newsstands now or available digitally, frontman Matt Berninger reveals that a preoccupation with death informed the band’s new material.
“It’s a record about getting older, and all the fascinations and headaches that go with that,” he said. “But it’s not grim, honestly! It’s actually pretty fun.'”
He added: “There’s a lot of big, visceral rock songs on this record; others have a classic feel. I was listening to Roy Orbison, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan. There’s a lot of different colours to this record.”
The band will release their sixth studio album later this year and embark on a UK and Ireland tour in November.
The National play:
Belfast Odyssey Arena (November 9)
Dublin Ireland O2 Arena (10)
Manchester O2 Apollo (11)
London Alexandra Palace (13)
