The Pulp mainman dons a white robe and joins the choir at the collective's London show...

JARVIS COCKER has invaded a LONDON again – this time moonlighting as a member of Polyphonic Spree.

The Pulp star, whose stage invasion during [a][/a]’s 1996 Brit Awards performance has passed into pop folklore, put on a white robe and joined the 24-strong collective as a special guest for versions of their singles ‘Soldier Girl’ and ‘Hanging Around’ at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire last night (October 27).

Cocker directed the video for ‘Hanging Around’ and performed DJ duties before the band came on last night.

The sold-out crowd were delighted by the star’s appearance at the Spree’s last gig on their rapturously received UK tour.
