The Ranconteurs ready new album

'Broken Boy Soldiers' is out in May

Jack White and Brendan Benson’s new project The Raconteurs have released details of their debut album.

Entitled ‘Broken Boy Soldiers’, the ten track record will be released on May 15.

The album follows the highly limited edition release of double AA single ‘Steady, As She Goes’/’Store Bought Bones’ last month, which has been trading online for more than £40.

Both songs appear on the album, along with the title track, ‘Call It A Day’ and ‘Blue Veins’.

The band, who have announced details of their first UK tour, kicking off at Liverpool Academy on March 20, are awaiting the return of Jack White who is currently finishing off The White Stripes’ world tour for ‘Get Behind Me Satan’ in Japan.

Speaking via his band’s official website White explained: “I’m headed to Japan soon for the last performances of ‘Get Behind Me Satan’, looking for a place to store the marimba afterwards. Maybe Meg’s basement.”

The track listing for ‘Broken Boy Soldiers’ reads:

‘Steady, As She Goes’

‘Hands’

‘Broken Boy Soldier’

‘Intimate Secretary’

‘Together’

‘Level’

‘Store Bought Bones’

‘Yellow Sun’

‘Call It A Day’

‘Blue Veins’
