The Rapture start work on new album

Band begin working on songs for forthcoming record

The Rapture have confirmed they have begun work on material for a new album.

Posting on the bands official site bassist Mattie Safer said that the band were working hard on new songs.

“The exact timeline remains uncertain. We are working hard and writing and recording 5 days a week but it taking a bit longer than expected,” he wrote. “We are very happy with the new music though and we are making every effort on this end to get this stuff ready to go.”

A release date for the band’s second album has yet to be decided, however it is expected to appear in 2006.

In the meantime, Safer explained members of the band were keeping themselves busy with remix work for other artists and had recently tackled ‘Me Plus One’ for Annie.
