Wirral trio go up against the headliners on new band showcase

The Rascals played a short but energetic set on the Oxegen Festival‘s 2FM New Band Stage tonight (July 11).

With the band’s slot on the new talent showcase causing them to clash with the day’s main headliners, the trio attracted a modest but loud crowd into the tent.

At one point, frontman Miles Kane defiantly told the crowd: “Fuck Groove Armada and the other bands, let’s have it in here!”

Showcasing tracks from their recently-released debut album ‘Rascalize’, the band drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd, with the band swapping woolly hats and glowsticks with the audience.

The Rascals played:

‘Does Your Husband Know That You’re On The Run’

‘Bond Girl’

‘Out Of Dreams’

‘Fear Invicted Into The Perfect Stranger’

‘Freakbeat Phantom’

‘Stockings To Suits’

‘I’ll Give You Sympathy’

‘Is It Too Late?’
