The Raveonettes announce US shows

The duo will be letting some fans in for free

The Raveonettes have announced three shows to take place in the New York area in March.

The band will perform the shows as a duo and say it will be “loud and intimate”.

In a message posted on their Myspace page, Sune Rose Wagner said: “This is how Sharin (Foo) (bassist) and I started out in the good old days in Denmark, it was fun and exciting. We’re very thrilled to go down that old road again.”

Wagner also promised a number of fans will gain free entry to the shows, three more of which are due to be confirmed in Washington DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia. Fans are asked to send the band messages saying why they should be on the guest list.

The dates confirmed so far are:

Brooklyn, NY Southpaw (March 10)

Hoboken, New Jersey Maxwell’s (11)

New York, NY Mercury Lounge (12)
