MICK JAGGER has teamed up with EURYTHMICS’ guitarist DAVE STEWART to record three new songs and the theme music for the forthcoming remake of the 1966 film, ’ALFIE’.

The pair plan to head into London’s Abbey Road Studio 2 to lay down ’Old Habits Die Hard’, ’Blind Leading The Blind’ and ’Let’s Make It Up’.

Jagger and Stewart will work with composer John Powell to include their instrumental music into the film’s score, according to RollingStone.com.

Stewart said: “Mick and I had a great time. As the movie comes together, it feels like a classic, as the themes we have written turn into songs crafted to fit the scenes and Alfie’s character.”

The remake of ’Alfie’ – directed by Charles Shyer – is due out later this year and stars Jude Law in the lead role originally made famous by Michael Caine.
