The Script have landed their third Official Albums Chart Number One with their new release, ‘No Sound Without Silence’.
Their fourth LP, it follows the band’s other chart-topping albums, their self-titled 2008 debut and 2010’s ‘Science & Faith’. The second highest new entry in the albums chart this week is Barbra Streisand, who is in at Number 2 with her duets album ‘Partners’, which features collaborations with the likes of Lionel Richie, John Legend and Michael Buble. Sam Smith’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’ takes the third spot, whilst Chris Brown’s new release, ‘X’, is at Number 4.
Other new entries in the album chart include Slash’s ‘World On Fire’ at Number Seven, Train’s ‘Bulletproof Picasso’ at Number Nine and Catfish & The Bottlemen at Number 10 with their debut LP ‘The Balcony’.
In the Official Singles Chart, drum’n’bass duo Sigma have scored their second Number 1, with the Paloma Faith-featuring ‘Changing’.
Commenting on their achievement the pair – Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie – said: “We never thought we’d get in the charts to be honest so to have two Number Ones is just unbelievable! We’ve also just been reliably informed by the Official Charts Company that we’re the first act to have two consecutive Number Ones this year that have both sold over 100,000 copies in the first week.”
Other new entries in the singles chart include Professor Green‘s ‘Lullaby’, which features singer Tori Kelly, at Number Four.
