US band among latest additions to Wiltshire festival

The Shins will play their first gig in three years at End Of The Road 2016, their only scheduled UK date this year.

The US band will return to play at the Larmer Tree Gardens festival this September as they join fellow headliner Joanna Newsom on the line-up.

The announcement comes amongst a fresh wave of acts being added to the bill earlier including Cat’s Eyes, aka The Horrors frontman Faris Badwan’s side project . Also confirmed for the Wiltshire festival today are BC Camplight, The Blind Shake, Lucy Dacus, Futur Primitif, Feels, Julia Jacklin, LionLimb, Pinegrove, FEWS, Baywaves, The Leaf Library.

Other names confirmed for the festival previously include Bat For Lashes and Animal Collective. The Shins will be playing on the Woods Stage on Thursday night as a special headline performance. End Of The Road 2016 takes place in the first week of September running from September 2-4.

Those unable to wait until September for their slice of End Of The Road action, are able to purchase a compilation CD created by festival organisers in conjunction with Rough Trade Shops from May 20. The album features artists who are appearing over the weekend at End Of The Road selected by the festival’s co-founder Simon Taffe.
