DOING IT FOR THE KIDS (AND HOMELESS)

And what's more, they're both for charity...

Melanie C and S Club 7 are set to go head-to-head with charity singles during the last week of November, NME.COM can reveal.

S Club 7 are the latest act to get involved with the annual BBC charity drive Children In Need, donating all proceeds from the release of their new single to the charity and agreeing to appear on the show three times in one night.

The seven stars are working on a new song specifically for the seven-hour programme, which airs through the UK on November 17.

But S Club‘s ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’ is set to clash with Virgin Records‘ proposed release date for Melanie C‘s next single ‘If That Were Me’ on November 27, from which all royalties are being given to homeless charities.

S Club‘s Paul Cattermole said of Children In Need: “Last year #18.8 million was distributed to thousands of organisations, working to change childrens’ lives for the better. We hope that, through donating money through the sale of ‘Never Had a Dream Come True’, we can help to raise lots of money for such a great cause.”
