The Spice Girl is reported to be on the brink of losing her deal with Virgin if her next single is not a success...
MEL B’s solo contract with VIRGIN RECORDS may not be renewed if her new single, ‘LULLABY’, fails to be a chart hit, it has been reported.
According to this morning’s Sun newspaper (March 13), Virgin bosses have warned the Spice Girl that her next single must be a success, or her contract will not be renewed in the summer.
A Virgin source told the paper: “It’s not looking good for Mel. If the next single doesn’t do well, then her solo career will be over. Her previous singles haven’t performed well and they can’t really see a long-term solo future – particularly as her style is the disastrous R&B route the band took with ‘Forever’.”
Official spokespersons for Mel B and her label Virgin Records were unavailable for comment this morning.
