STOP RIGHT NOW, THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Emma Bunton can't afford to retire just yet, apparently...

The SPICE GIRLS have been in talks about a reunion – without GERI HALLIWELL.

Emma Bunton, whose solo album ‘A Girl Like Me’ has not sold well, said that she has been speaking with Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria Beckham about the possibility of touring in five years’ time.

The girls have been discussing playing both Spice Girls hits and solo efforts. The solo ventures of the four Spices have generally met commercial failure, with Mel B being dropped and Victoria Beckham‘s eponymous album flopping. Melanie C was successful with her ‘Northern Star’ album, but has been very quiet in the past 12 months.

Emma revealed in today’s Sun (November 27) that none of the Spice Girls are worth the £28million each that was widely assumed, despite album sales of 40 million and a string of lucrative merchandising deals. She said that she can’t afford to retire, suggesting that the reunion would be a very useful source of cash for her and her former bandmates.
