It’s official – The Stone Roses have reformed for comeback shows in 2012. They will play two gigs at Manchester’s Heaton Park, June 29 and 30, followed by a world tour.

The legendary Manchester band also promised new material. Singer Ian Brown said: “This is a live resurrection, and you’re invited, so you better be there.”

Details of the reunion were announced via a press conference at London’s Soho Hotel, which kicked off at 3pm, Tuesday 18 October. NME was there. You can relive our live blog below.
