The Stone Roses confirmed to headline V Festival 2012?

Madchester legends will apparently pocket £1 million for gigs next summer

The Stone Roses will headline next year’s V Festival, according to reports.

The Sun claims that the recently reformed Madchester legends will pocket a £1 million payday for the shows, which will take place next August over two sites at Chelmsford and Staffordshire.

A ‘source’ said:

The Roses‘ upcoming tour has been put together by SJM, the same tour promoters who have looked after Take That, Oasis, and Coldplay for their massive shows. Every year V Festival pulls in some huge acts. Eminem and Rihanna, who played this year, will be tough acts to follow, but the Roses are a massive draw.
