The Stone Roses set to earn £10 million from Heaton Park comeback gigs

Band are also reportedly raking in over £1 million per festival appearance

The Stone Roses are reportedly set to earn over £10 million from their comeback gigs at Manchester‘s Heaton Park next summer, according to tabloid reports this morning (November 8).

The band, who announced their reformation last month, will play three huge homecoming gigs at Heaton Park on June 29, 30 and July 1 and, according to The Sun, will pick up £10 million from the gigs.

The gigs, which will see 225,000 people see the band play their first shows since their reunion, sold out just over an hour after going onsale.

The Manchester band have also been named as the first confirmed headliner for next year’s Benicassim, which is due to take place July 12-15, 2012. They will also headline Scotland’s T In The Park, which takes place the weekend before, July 6-8. The band are said to be earning over £1 million for each festival appearance too.

Ian Brown and co have also been confirmed for Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival and are also strongly rumoured to be announcing further UK festival gigs for this summer, with reports suggesting V Festival is another likely date.
