Former Stone Roses bass player Mani will join THE COMPLETE STONE ROSES, a tribute band, in Dublin next week to DJ and possibly play bass on a couple of songs with the band.
The Complete… are one of several tribute bands to the Stone Roses who have been gigging on the stars-in-their-eyes circuit. The gig at the Dublin Mean Fiddler on February 6 adds a surreal twist to the proceedings on a par with the Australian tribute band to Midnight Oil who sold more tickets to their gig than the real Midnight Oil did at the same venue.
Mani, now a member of PRIMAL SCREAM has had some experience of tribute bands by playing in the post-John Squire line-up of The Stone Roses who played the 1996 Reading Festival.
